Esther Baxter Simmons, 70, a native of Four Points, Alabama and a resident of Jackson, Alabama, passed away Sunday, April 05, 2015 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her mother and father, Angeline & Theodore Baxter; daughter, Gay Holland Howard; and her husband, Marion D. Simmons. Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Simmons is her daughter, Donna Patterson; grandchildren, Amber Holland, Lane Patterson, Austyn Patterson, and Chris (Heather) Holland; great grandchildren, Tripp, Ty, Lakin, and Sawyer; sister, Dot (Doyle) Odom; brothers, Tommy (Jill) Baxter and Doug (Fran) Baxter; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the 3pm funeral service at Shiloh Baptist Church in Deer Park, Alabama on Thursday, April 09, 2015 with Rev. Barton Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Memorials may given to Shiloh Baptist Church P.O. Box 10, Deer Park, Alabama 36529-0010. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com.
