Farron Odell “Goose” Lofton, a lifetime resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away at his home Sunday, November 10, 2019. He was 64 years old. Goose was born November 30, 1954. He was a log truck driver for many years. Goose enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his passion was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Goose was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Goose was preceded in death by his parents, Elemuel and Sadie Lofton; son, James Elemuel McDonald; and brother, Benjamin Franklin Lofton. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rellia Lofton; children, Denise Byrd, Amy Lofton, Greg Lofton (Tonya), Barry Lofton, Larry Lofton, Susie Dearth (Eric), and Jarron Cain Byrd; nineteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; siblings, Alpha Byrd (Tex), Ronald Lofton (Eleanor), Johnny Lofton (Vivian), Mickey Lofton (Yolanda), Robert Lofton (Nancy), and Rodeaner Lofton; special friend, Coy King; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11am until the 12pm funeral service Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. Barbara Brewi, Rev. George Weaver, and Rev.
