Ferris Lavernon Lee

Mr. Ferris Lavernon Lee, a native of Cullomburg, Alabama and longtime resident of Citronelle passed away at the age of 97 on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at his home. Mr. Lee was a retired pipeline supervisor and longtime member of the former First Baptist Church of Citronelle now Restoration Church. Mr. Lee was also a member of the Citronelle F&AM Masonic Lodge # 637. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman who still loved to be in nature whether just sitting on the porch or taking a ride on his 4 wheeler around the pond. He loved his church and his church family dearly. We take comfort in knowing that he was met by his Savior with those precious words of “Well done my good and faithful servant”. But his love and pride for his grandchildren was one of his greatest joys. He loved spending time with them imparting life lessons with each conversation whether through the outdoors, sports, church duties or in a phone call. The legacy he left in his family shines bright. He was preceded in death by his parents Alba and Claudia Lee, wife Jessie Virginia Lee, second wife Ruby Maxine Lee and sister Helen Dearman. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Ronnie Lee (Linda); daughter, Sharon Mason (Wilbert); five grandsons - Jeff Mason (Melissa), Brian Lee (Amy), Russ Lee (Alyssa), Steven Lee (Brooke), Zac Mason (Hillery); 11 great grandchildren- Jordan Barbarin (Craig), Sawyer Mason (Meagan), Caroline Malone, Watson Lee, Will Mason, Noah Lee, Addy Lee, Joseph Lee, Jessa Lee, Ollie Mason, Finn Mason; 2 great great grandchildren- Lilly and Asher Barbarin; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 with visitation beginning at 10 am until the 11 am funeral service at Restoration Church with Rev. John Blackwell officiating.
