Floyd William "Sonny" Lewis

Floyd William “Sonny” Lewis, 79, a native and resident of Charity Chapel, Alabama passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Sonny proudly served in the United States Navy and later worked in road engineering and construction for over 50 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his family. Sonny attended Charity Chapel Assembly of God and loved to fellowship with others. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Lewis and Louise Andrews Lewis; daughter, Jewel Louise Lambert; brothers, Lloyd Lewis and Richard Henry Lewis. Those left to cherish his memory is the mother of his children, Carol Elaine Lewis; children, Robert William Lewis, Rodonia Gale Reid, Jeffery Lewis (Lisa), Teresa Kemp (Bill) and Citina Maria Lewis (Ricky); grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters, Estelle Wooten, Millie Prades, Betty Wainwright, and Vicki Lankford; other relatives and friends. The Wake will be from 5pm until 8pm Monday, November 13, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 11am Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Butler and Rev. Doug Fairchild officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffery A.
