Gary Earl Stagner

Gary Earl Stagner, 59, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at his residence in Turnerville, Alabama. Gary worked and retired from the Boilermakers Local # 112 with over 30 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, entertaining the grandchildren and fussing with MawMaw. Gary was former president of the Alabama Dog Hunters Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Verlon and Louise Stagner and mother-in-law, Marie Frazier. Left to cherish his memory, wife of 41 years, Lucy Stagner; three sons, Keith Stagner, Joel (Catrina) Johnston, Jr. and Steve Johnston; daughter, Tammy (Jimmy) Fulmer; seven grandchildren, Addison, Urijah, Jaxon, Justin, Jared, Jenna and Hope; brother, Jerry Stagner; three sisters, Jean Hazelwood, Theresa Hall and Brenda Allen; father-in-law, Odell Frazier; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. The wake will be 6-9pm Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2pm Friday, August 21, 2015 at Turnerville Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Lewis officiating.
