George Cecil Farmer

George Cecil Farmer, 72, a native and resident of Citronelle, AL passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Crown Health Care. He was a retired trucked driver. He loved hunting, Auburn football, and spending time with his friends and family. George was preceded in death by his wife, Laura JoAnn Farmer; parents, Cecil and Stella Farmer; sister, Lilly Bell Sullivan; and brother, Mickel Rivers. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Cecil Farmer, John Farmer, and Laurie Farmer; sisters, Betty Byrd (Leon), Hazel Weaver (Glen), Maeola Allen, Shirley Farmer, Diane McDaniels (Wahoo), and Judy Weaver (Lamaze); brothers, Ensley Farmer (Jamie) and Wallace Rivers (Lynn); grandchildren, John Farmer Jr., Jordan Farmer, Laura Coleman, Paige Farmer, Bristen Clay, and Nicholas Bivens; 3 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caretaker, Karen Hogan and the staff at Crown Health Care. A graveside service will be held for George at Byrd Cemetery 11am Saturday, April 25, 2020 with Bro. Shaw officiating.
