George Jay Green

Mr. George Jay Green, 57, of Vinegar Bend, Alabama passed away on May 3, 2014 at his home. He was a retired dry wall finisher and enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming in his spare time. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Watt and Frieda Green; sister, Catherine Green; infant brother, James Ray Green. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Darla Turner Green; daughter, Catherine (Roger) Williams; grandson, Eli Williams; four sisters, Ellen Green Newman, Faye Green (Joe) Allday, Ina Green (David) Blalack, Peggy Green (Clark) Graham; brother, Paul (Deborah) Green; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the 4pm funeral service on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. James Bice officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
