Gloria Dean Byrd

Gloria W. Byrd, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, went to be with the Lord and her awaiting husband on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama. She was 71 years old. Gloria worked for as a packer and inventory coordinator for a moving company for many years. In her spare time Gloria enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family. She was a woman of unwavering faith and a devout Christian. She attended Never Ending Faith Baptist Church and Rivers of Living Water Church. Gloria is preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl J. Byrd. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kevin Earl Byrd, Dustin Byrd (Audrey), Helen Marie Lofton (James, Jr.), and Leslie Ann Byrd; grandchildren, Layia Huff, Elena and Jamie Lofton, Kevelyn and Nicole Byrd, Destinee and Makayla Gulley, and Josh Smith; great grandchildren, Harper, Paisleigh, Ava, and Shannon; sister, Ida Glass and Penny Weaver; sisters-in-law, Gladys Sullivan, Eunice Lambert, and Patsy Cole; brothers-in-law, Don Cole and Dudley Glass; loving nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the 2pm funeral service Monday, November 23, 2020, at Never Ending Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Sullivan, Rev. Eddie Rivers, and Rev.
