Gloria Gilley, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020. She was 91 years old. Gloria was born May 01, 1929. Gloria was the matriarch of her family and the last of her generation. Her love for people and animals was truly amazing, and it shown through her love for her family. She was always willing to share anything she had with anyone, especially her cooking. She also enjoyed going to church and loved being a child of God. Gloria was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Audrey Caylor; her parents, John A. Jones and Bertha Jones; numerous brothers and sisters; and son in law, Eley “Fuzzy” Jackson. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Archie Lewis Jr., John A. Lewis, Leland Lewis, Ray Lewis (Margaret), Rachel Stanley (Paul), Bobbie Lewis, and Anita Patel (Larry); twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; best friend of over 50 years, Vermel Ellis; and other relatives and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Saad’s Hospice for their constant support and care given to Gloria and her family during this time. The family will receive friends from 12pm until the 1pm funeral service Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Lambert Cemetery.
