Goldie Mincey, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on December 1, 2024. She was born on August 19, 1969, and filled her life with joy, laughter, and creativity, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Goldie was known for her outspoken nature and her ability to light up any room she entered. She was truly the life of the party, with a contagious laugh that could bring a smile even to the heaviest hearts. Her vibrant personality brought together family and friends in moments of joy and celebration.
As a devoted mother, Goldie was immensely proud of her children: Savannah Kirksey (Daniel), David Maxson (Heather), and Travis Maxson (Jenna); step children, Ryen Howard and Andy Howard. Her grandchildren—Daniel Jr., Deven, Dominic, Zane, David, Charity, Judy, Hunter, Fisher, Garrett, and Faylyn—were a source of great joy for her, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Goldie also found companionship and love in her fiancé, Paul Howard.
Family was Goldie's proudest accomplishment, and she cultivated these relationships with love and dedication. She is survived by her fiance, Paul Howard; stepmother, Margie Tindle; her brother, Tim Tindle (Sonya); her sister, Jessica Byrd; a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Goldie was passionate about her hobbies, which included crafting and spending time at yard sales and thrift shopping. These interests were reflective of her creative spirit and her love for connecting with others, and they enriched her life in countless ways.
She joins in eternal rest her mother, Judy Tindle; her father, David Tindle; her sisters, Jennifer Tanner and Toni Wickland; and her granddaughter, Abigail Maxson. Each of these loved ones held a special place in Goldie's heart, and their memories will forever accompany her in spirit.
A visitation for Goldie Mincey will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the 1:00 PM funeral service at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church with Bro. Gerald Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Community Cemetery.
Goldie Mincey's legacy of love, laughter, and creativity will continue to resonate in the hearts of all she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
