Harold Newburn

Harold Newburn, 75, a native and resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. He served in the Alabama National Guard for over 35 years, and activated during the Berlin Crisis. He retired as a maintenance painter from Akzo Chemicals after 35 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. But his favorite past time was watching Alabama football. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Audrey Newburn; children, Timmy Newburn, Lorrie Phelps, Cindy Davis, Tina Haskew, Mike Newburn; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; extended family, Rita Newburn, Vern Phelps, Steve Davis, Eric Haskew, Stephanie Newburn; two brothers, Robert Morris and James Christopher; sister, Elizabeth Boyd; other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9pm Monday, January 26, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Duncan and Rev. Tom Dees officiating. Burial will follow in Four Points Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Williams, Ryan Newburn, Travis Hicks, John Welford III, Ben Newburn and Hunter Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Haskew, Noah Haskew, Blake Tulo, Logan Newburn, Lane Vaughn and Timmy Newburn.
