Harris Leon Byrd

Harris Leon Byrd, 78, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Harris served in the Alabama Army National Guard and he retired as an engineer from CSX Railroad after 40 years. He attended Memorial Baptist Church. Harris was an avid fisherman and hunter, in earlier years he raised horses and was a western horse polo player. He was preceded in death by his aunt Laura “Lalo” Byrd, brothers, Herbert Byrd and Harold Byrd. Left to cherish his memory his wife of 57 years, Pat Byrd; sister-in-law, Sarah Byrd; brother-in-laws, Roy Deason and Steve Deason; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, August 3, 2015 from 1:30pm until the 3pm funeral service at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Dino Danzey and Rev. Stan Clayton officiating.
