Heather Rachelle Holland, a resident of Deer Park, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 02, 2019. She was 34 years old. Heather was born May 18, 1985. Everyone who knew Heather just loved her! People say that she had a sweet spirit. She was so talented especially when it came to horses, she often said they were her peace and calming when things were not easy for her. No matter how much pain she was in she would always say “I’m ok.” Her children were her pride and joy and she was such a good mother. Ty was the one she worried about the most. Lakin was her cowgirl princess and Sawyer was her baby. Chris was her calming force when she needed him the most and little did he know what he was getting into when he took her as his wife. He did it without hesitation though and together they were raising a very fine family. Life is never what you expect. Heather had dreams and goals like many of us do in life. We often said we had to keep re-planning. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Chris Holland; three children, Ty, Lakin, and Sawyer; mother, Kathy Odom; step father, Mike Odom; daddy, Oscar Cleveland Rivers; father, Harold Leslie “Doc” Parnell; grandparents, Mildred Martin, Terry Kastroff, Harold and Nancy Parnell; brothers, Curtis England (Misty), Samuel Rivers (Stacey), and Jeffrey Rivers (Jennifer); sisters, Samantha Williams (Nick) and Brittany Parnell; sister in law, Amber Holland; special friends, Gloria Dueitt, Catherine Williams, and Slick Sullivan; and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Heather from 6pm to 9pm Thursday, October 03, 2019, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11am Friday, October 04, 2019, at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Samuel Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Pond Creek Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made in Heather’s name to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 600 Celebrate Life Parkway, Newnan, Georgia 30265.
