Hilda J. Loper, a beloved member of the community, passed away on July 9, 2023, at the Springhill Medical Center. She was surrounded by her loving family until her final moments. Hilda was an all-around good person who never saw the bad in anyone. Her kind and loving nature touched the hearts of everyone she met.
Hilda was born on October 3, 1954, and from a young age, it was evident that she had a special place in her heart for others. She dedicated her life to spreading love and positivity, always emphasizing the importance of compassion and understanding. Hilda's generous spirit knew no bounds, and she extended kindness to all those in need.
One of Hilda's joys in life was working in the yard. She also faithfully read her Bible and daily devotions, finding solace and guidance within its pages. Her strong belief in God guided her actions and provided her with unwavering strength during difficult times. Hilda truly cherished the moments spent with her family and cherished every precious memory they shared.
Hilda is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Betty Loper. She is survived by her sisters, Bonnie Mott and Melanie Gwen Loper; nephew Dean Mott (Dotty); niece Farrah Mott Shook; great nephew Christian Shook; great niece Deanna Shook; special lifelong friends Harlan and Priscilla French; as well as other relatives and friends who were blessed to have known her.
The funeral services for Hilda J. Loper will be held at Freeman Funeral Home. A visitation will take place on July 14, 2023, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by th 11:00 AM funeral service with Rev. Al Moore and Bro. Ralph Hudson officiating. Burial to follow in Charity Chapel Cemetery.
Hilda's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire others to make a positive difference in this world. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her life was a true blessing to all who had the honor of crossing paths with her.
