Ira Samuel Perkins, 83, passed away December 7, 2013, at a local healthcare facility. Mr. Perkins served in the US Army Infantry in the Korean Conflict and was a Southern Baptist pastor and missionary for over fifty years. His survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betteye J. Perkins; son, Roger D. (Pam) Perkins; grandchildren, David (Christy) Perkins, Sunny (Kenneth) Harrison; great grandsons, Austin, Noah, Micah and Luke; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends December 10, 2013 at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church from 10am until the 11am funeral service with Rev. Roger D. Perkins officiating.
