McIntosh, Alabama

Jabbo Sullivan, Sr. passed away on April 16, 2025, at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 10, 1982, Jabbo dedicated much of his adult life to the shipbuilding industry, where he was known for his hardworking nature.

Jabbo's friendly demeanor and his heart of gold touched the lives of many. He was a loud, talkative individual who always had a story to share, making him a beloved figure among friends and family alike. He cherished the simple pleasures in life, with hobbies that included fishing, hunting, and riding four-wheelers. He found joy in horseback riding and would often walk the yard, feeding his chickens while enjoying peaceful car rides. Music was an important part of his life, and he found inspiration in the tunes of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. As a devoted Alabama football fan, he embraced his passion for the sport with enthusiasm. Jabbo also loved nothing more than gathering family and friends together for cookouts, where laughter filled the air.

Above all, Jabbo’s proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren, who meant everything to him. He is survived by his children, Jazmyne Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan, Annalise Sullivan, Jabbo Sullivan, Jr., and Mary Alice Sullivan; his stepchildren, Christopher Walker, Ryan Jimerson, Jr. (Haley), Sage Jimerson, and Colin Jimerson; and four cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Will Sullivan (Tabitha), Jason Sullivan (Vickie), Mitchell Sullivan (Terri), Josh Sullivan (Crystal), and Melissa Sullivan (Joseph); aunts and uncles, Minnie Byrd, Ledward Sullivan, James "Man Man" Sullivan (Lucy), Paula Mitchell, and Joey Sullivan (Pamela); along with many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Jabbo is preceded in death by his parents, Hank Williams Sullivan and Alice Roberta Sullivan, as well as his stepson, Brighten Brooks.
