Jacob Travis Reid, 40, a native of Citronelle, died December 29, 2019 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Citronelle. He was born November 13, 1979, in Mobile, Alabama to Conrad and Marsha (Carpenter) Reid. He graduated from Citronelle High School in 1998. Jacob was a ten-year Veteran of the US Coast Guard and served as an aircraft mechanic. He was an avid drummer and loved playing music. He worked at Green’s Tire Service since returning home from the service. Jacob is survived by his wife, Samantha (Powell); his daughters, Juliahna and Sophia; his parents, Conrad and Marsha Reid of Citronelle; his brothers, John Reid (Kim) and Chris Reid (Karen); and his sisters, Portia Barnette (Eric) and Amanda Henderson (Lonnie); and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held from 6pm until 9pm with Rosary beginning at 5:45 pm on Friday, January 03, 2020, at Freeman Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10am Saturday, January 04, 2020, at Saint Thomas Aquinas with Rev. John Coghlan, celebrant. Burial will follow in Meinhardt Cemetery.
