James Andrew Reed

James Andrew Reed, age 69, a native of Washington County and resident of Mount Vernon, AL, died Saturday, February 6, 2010. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was a carpenter and welder. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Snow Reed of Mt. Vernon; Three Sons, James (Donna) Reed, Jr. of Axis, AL, Spencer Reed of Mt. Vernon and Wylie Reed of Citronelle; Five Daughters, Cheryl (Emery) Rivers and Jamie (James) Byrd, all of Citronelle, AL, Audrey (Cecil) Orso, Grace Reed, and Karen (Daniel) Schaffer, all of Mount Vernon, AL; Two Brothers, Verma Reed and Wylie Reed, both of McIntosh, AL; One Sister, Daisy Snow of McIntosh, AL; 21 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and other relatives and friends. A wake will be from 6 PM to 9 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. The Funeral Service will be at Reed's Chapel Baptist Church at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 with Rev. Bennett Weaver officiating. Interment will be at Reed's Chapel Cemetery in McIntosh, AL.
