James Clayton Dueitt

April 13, 1940 — May 7, 2015

James Clayton Dueitt, 75, a native of Deer Park, Alabama and resident of Vinegar Bend, Alabama passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at his home. He was a 1959 graduate of Fruitdale High School, a United States Army Veteran and retired as a maintenance supervisor with Hoescht Celanese. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Mr. Dueitt was a proud member of the American Legion Post # 164. He was preceded in death by his son, Joe Jarvis, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Carol Dueitt; children, Darlene (Terry) Seals, Gary (Shelly) Jarvis, Jamie (Greg) Shaw and Tanya (Vance) Williams; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, Haywood Dueitt and Royce (Jackie) Dueitt; two sisters, Sharon Lee and Carole (Paul) Merritt; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Miller and Rev. Marc Hobbs officiating.
