James Emory Byrd

Mr. James Emory Byrd, 68, a native and resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away May 4, 2014. He retired as district manager from Commonwealth Brands and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Hazel Byrd; brother, Marvin Byrd; sister, Margaret Byrd and wife of 34 years, Gaynell Gazzier Byrd. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Wanda Taylor Byrd; two sons, Jason E. Byrd and Jonas E. Byrd; step-son, Brian D. Taylor; two granddaughters, Bella Taylor and Charly Taylor; siblings, Eunice (Robert) Sheffield, Mary (Buddy) Martin, L.T. (Lucille) Byrd; Annette (Jimmy) Malone and Marilyn (Eddie) Gardner; sister-in-law, Lucille Byrd; other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 5 – 8 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Brunson and Rev.
