James William Wycoff

James William Wycoff, a resident of Crosby, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Baytown, Texas. He was 85 years old. Jim, as he was affectionately known, honorably and bravely served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He made four tours in Vietnam as a paratrooper and was awarded three Purple Hearts and two Bronze Star medals before retiring.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Dickie Wycoff, Jim Wycoff, Kathy Traweek, and Jerry Wooley; sister, Jan Fretwell; beloved niece and nephew, J'Anne Fretwell Inge and James Jeffery Fretwell; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held for Jim at 2pm Friday, January 21, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Tutor officiating. Burial will follow in Citronelle Methodist Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com. Freeman Funeral Home - Citronelle, Alabama
