Jeffery Clarence Williams

Jeffery Clarence Williams, known fondly as Jeff, was born on March 24, 1965, in Aiken, South Carolina. He passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Over a dedicated career spanning approximately 40 years, Jeff made his mark as a skilled sheet rock hanger and finisher. His contributions were pivotal in the construction of notable establishments, including Mobile Infirmary and McDonald's. In addition to his work in construction, he also worked for around 9 years with The Call News, where he delivered papers to the community.

Those who knew Jeff would describe him as a jokester with a happy disposition, a loving and caring individual deeply committed to his family and friends. His hobbies included crappie fishing and coon hunting, and he was known for his love of coffee, drinking it hot no matter the weather.

Jeff cherished his time spent with his family, embracing every moment with pride, particularly in the company of his wife of 29 years, Sherrie Williams; son, Jeff Williams, Jr. (Amber); and step-children, Ryan Nelson (Bridget) and Roy Nelson. He was a proud grandfather to Colby, Lexi, Lil Ryan, Kaylin, Robyn, Mitchell, and Dewayne finding immense joy in their presence. He is also survived by three brothers, seven sisters, and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Betty Joe Williams, who are fondly remembered by those who knew them.

Visitation for Jeff will be held at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle, Alabama on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM with Bro. Bob Barr officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.

Jeff’s enduring spirit, devotion to family, and laughter will remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. His life was a testament to love and family values, leaving behind a rich legacy for all who were touched by his kindness.
