Jerry Dewayne Cranmore, known affectionately as "D-Man", passed away on July 4, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. He was born on April 1, 1974, to proud parents Jerry and Carol Cranmore.

Throughout his life, Dewayne pursued a varied career as a NACE inspector, painter, and sandblaster. He approached his work with dedication and skill, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with. Dewayne's commitment to excellence was evident in every task he undertook.

Dewayne will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor and his matter-of-fact attitude. Those fortunate enough to have known him will cherish memories of his funny anecdotes and quick wit. His caring nature shone through in every interaction, as he never failed to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement.

Outside of work, Dewayne had many interests that brought him joy. He was an avid outdoorsman who reveled in the tranquility of fishing and hunting. Time spent by the river brought him peace and allowed him to connect with nature. Dewayne was also a devoted Alabama football fan who relished cheering on his favorite team.

In addition to these hobbies, Dewayne had a passion for collecting knives and guns and sought out fun experiences wherever life took him. His adventurous spirit fueled a love for travel that led him to explore new places and create cherished memories along the way.

Family meant the world to Dewayne, and he was deeply loved by his wife and best friend, Tish Cranmore. Together they shared a bond built on trust, companionship, and unwavering support. Dewayne's children Sarah "Gracie" Bishop (Tyler), Jessica Chance, Cheyenne Long (David), Michael Singleton (Maggie), and Alex Humbarger (Rosie) were blessed to have him as their father. He touched their lives with his wisdom, guidance, and unconditional love.

Dewayne also held precious relationships with his parents, Jerry and Carol Cranmore, who provided a foundation of love and support in his life. His siblings, Jeremy Cranmore (Dena) and Amanda Cranmore (James), shared a special bond of laughter and tough love that enriched Dewayne's journey.

Dewayne is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Cranmore, Frank Cranmore, and Jack Pierce. Their love and presence in his life brought him immeasurable joy and comfort.

Dewayne's wide circle of friends held a significant place in his heart. They were a source of companionship, laughter, and lifelong memories. Among these cherished friendships was his long-time companion and friend, Waylon. Their connection was a testament to the enduring power of true friendship.

The class of '93 held a special place in Dewayne's heart as they formed an unbreakable bond during their formative years. The memories made with this group will forever be cherished as they navigated the ups and downs of life together.

Dewayne leaves behind a multitude of relatives, friends, a niece, and two nephews whose lives he touched in countless ways. His generosity knew no bounds, always willing to lend an ear or extend a helping hand.

A visitation will be held at Freeman Funeral Home on July 10th, 2023. Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on this day at 19180 N Center St, Citronelle, AL 36522.
