Jerry Edward "Sonny" Waite, Sr.

Jerry Edward "Sonny" Waite, Sr., a resident of McIntosh, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, October 02, 2019. He was 61 years old. Jerry was born February 14, 1958. He was a truck driver for many years. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and father-in-law. He has gone to be with Jesus and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Waite. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 38 years, Amy Waite; children, Belinda (Ronny), Jeremy (Liz), Stephanie, Freddy (Kasey), Steve (Tiffany), Jerry (Crystal), Judy (Ken), Michael (Hillary), Brittany (Kevin), and Dewayne (Tammie); daughter in law, Ina; eighteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Sissy (Stacy) and Jana (Tom); and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Jerry from 6pm to 9pm Monday, October 07, 2019, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2pm Tuesday, October 08, 2019, at Reed’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. C.J. Byrd, Rev. Ken Davis, Sr., Rev. Brandon Davis, and Rev. Chad Orso officiating. Burial will follow in Reed’s Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com.
