Jerry Taylor, 73, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Providence Hospital. Jerry was a retired truck driver. He loved raising his rabbit dogs and going rabbit hunting, spending time with his family and friends and going to church. In his earlier years he loved raising horses, rodeos and Gunsmoke on television. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pearl Taylor, daughter, Debra Jean Vincent and brother, Isach Taylor. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Kimberly Taylor (Jereme) Farmer, Pamela Burke (Larry) Gardner, Sonia Renee (Tommy) Phan, Donna Evon Pybus; sons, Hugh Darryl Dudley, Jerry Wayne Cupp and Bohdon Redko; nineteen grandchildren; great grandchildren; brothers, Roy Rogers Taylor and Gene A. Taylor; other relatives and friends. A wake will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 from 6pm-9pm at Freeman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11am, Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Snow and Rev. Nick Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery.
