Jerry Wilton Fretwell

Jerry Wilton Fretwell, Sr., 80, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Mobile, Alabama. Jerry served in the Alabama Army National Guard. He owned and operated Dixieland Supply Company and Jerry W. Fretwell Contracting in Citronelle for many years. He worked as a production foreman for the Citronelle Unit and managed USSCO. Jerry enjoyed coaching youth football for many years and won 169 games straight. He was a member of Citronelle United Methodist Church. Jerry was an avid golfer, devoted Alabama Football fan and enjoyed cooking barbeque. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garfield and Stella Fretwell, wife, Pat Fretwell and brothers, Arthur Fretwell and Ernest Fretwell. His survivors are three children, Kristina Blake, Karen Deakins, and Jerry Fretwell, Jr.; siblings, Lois Wooley, Wendell Fretwell, R.V. Fretwell, Ovenia Howard, Jimmy Fretwell, Lorane Henderson, Edna Bedgood, Doris Ridge, Louise Parrent and Carolyn Farmer; grandchildren, Jordan, Rhett, Sarah, Cole, and Grant; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 11am until 1pm at the Citronelle United Methodist Church. Funeral service will follow at 1pm at the church with Rev.
