Jessie Mae Byrd

Jessie Mae Byrd, 85, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Ms. Jessie Mae was a homemaker and drove a school bus for Calcedeaver Elementary School for 35 years and was affiliated with Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Sonny” Byrd. She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Carolyn (Grover) Byrd, Lelia Bynum, Barbara (Charles) Byrd; seven sons, Lebaron (Rena) Byrd, Lemural (Dawn) Byrd, Billy (Carol) Byrd, Jimmy (Malinda) Byrd, Timmy (Dottie) Byrd, Matt (Audrey) Byrd, John (Jessie) Byrd, twenty two grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 12 pm Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. C. J. Byrd, Rev. Greg Kirkwood & Rev. John Coghlan officiating.
