Mrs. Joan G. Hopkins, 72, a native of Wilmington, OH and resident of Creola, AL died Thursday, August 02, 2012 at her residence in Creola. Mrs. Hopkins is preceded in death by her husband, Jr. Hopkins. She is survived by four children, Peggy Sue Jones, of Choctaw, OK, Lesa D. Jones Jimerson, of Satsuma, AL, Kyle Martin Jones, of Creola, AL, Timothy Wayne Jones, of Citronelle, AL; step child, Bobby Joe Hopkins, of Laurel, MS; three sisters, Pauline Gates, of Abilene, TX, Evelyn Gates, of Columbus, OH, Marty Gates, of Columbus, OH; 21 Grandchildren; 25 Great Grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Hopkins will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Sunday, August 05, 2012 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, MS. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 05, 2012 from the Antioch Cemetery in Millry, AL with Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery, Millry, AL. Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro, MS is in charge of arrangements.
