John Daniel Landrum, a beloved son, brother, grandson, and nephew, left this world far too soon on December 26, 2024, at the tender age of six. Born on May 18, 2018, John Daniel filled his family’s lives with joy, laughter, and love, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
John Daniel was known for his vibrant spirit and boundless enthusiasm for life. He was an avid football and soccer fan, a passion that brought him immense joy. His love for sports reflected his endless energy and adventurous heart. But perhaps nothing made him happier than being outdoors.
John Daniel had a natural connection with the woods, where he spent countless hours exploring and discovering the beauty of nature. Whether it was searching for the perfect stick, spotting animals, or simply running through the trees with pure delight, the outdoors became his sanctuary and playground. His family often marveled at his curiosity and the way he found joy in the simplest wonders of the natural world. John Daniel’s adventurous spirit was matched only by the wide smile he wore when surrounded by the trees, streams, and open skies he adored.
He is survived by his loving parents, Daniel Jay "DJ" Landrum and Maree Landrum, and his cherished sister, Piper Maree Landrum. His adoring grandparents, John and Charmaine Bassett, and Danny and Sizy Landrum, played pivotal roles in nurturing his curiosity and dreams. He also leaves behind two remarkable great-grandmothers, Katie Jewel Prine and Bonnie Landrum, who treasured every moment with him.
John Daniel’s memory will forever be cherished by his extended family, including his aunts and uncles: John Clay Bassett II (Julie), Elizabeth McCain (Todd), and Brandy Landrum Turner. His great aunts and uncles, Bonita Walley (Kenny), Chris Landrum, Don Prine (Lisa), Charlie Bassett (Terry), Kenneth Williams (Tami), and John Williams will forever hold his memory close.
He is also deeply missed by his cousins: Avery Turner (Lexi), Jonah Turner, Landon Turner, Jackson Bassett, Aynsley McCain, AnnaBeth McCain, Anderson Bassett, Luka Turner, and Torin Turner who shared countless cherished moments with him.
