Johnnie Mell Johnston

Johnnie Mell Johnston, age 60, died May 10, 2013 at his home in Sims Chapel, AL. Johnnie was an operator for Olin Chemical Corporation until he retired. He was a member of Sims Chapel United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Shirley Monk Johnston; sons, Matthew Brent (Pamela) Johnston, Josh Ryan (Lindsey) Johnston; grandson, Briley Cayden Johnston; sisters, Jeanette Martin, Gloria Bailey; brothers, Ray Johnston, Connie Johnston, Arnold “Coot” Johnston, Charlie Johnston; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends, Monday, May 13, 2013, 10am until 11am funeral service at Sims Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Otis Lister and Rev. Jimmy Butts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
