Juanita Johnston, a resident of Chunchula, Alabama, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was 68 years old. Juanita was born September 01, 1949, to Timmy and Gloethel Rivers. After school, Juanita became a pastor and preached the word of God for over 10 years at Little House of Prayer. She was a sweet loving person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles Ray Maddox and Pleazent Orman Johnston; and son, Ron Johnston. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Sandra Hysell, Mike Johnston (Jacqueline), Nita Nall (Lewis), Charles Maddox (Angela), and Torrie Maddox Anderson (Dwight, Sr.); grandchildren, Sherry Fithian, Jennifer Fithian, Crystal New, Jamie New, James Hysell, Jacqueline Hysell, Cheyenne Johnston, Michelle Johnston, Ron Johnston, CJ Johnston, Lewis A. Nall, Scott Nall, Tracey Jackson, Pamela Moreau, Aalyah James, Alexis Maddox, Shawn James, Kimber Smith, Brandon Johnston, Dwight Anderson Jr., Layla Anderson, and Nevaeh Maddox Anderson; approximately 25 great grandchildren; brother, Murray Gaines Rivers; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Union Church of Indian Springs; 5402 Lott Road, Eight Mile, Alabama 36613.
