Karen Janette Cooper

November 29, 1952 — February 10, 2016

Karen Cooper, 63, a native of Cloverdale, California and resident of Mt. Vernon, Alabama passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Providence Hospital. She was a United States Army Veteran and worked as an operator at Tate & Lyle and formerly Degussa. Karen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also was an avid Alabama fan. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 43 years, Billy Joe Cooper; daughter, Christine Palazzolo (John); son, Kenny Cooper; four step-daughters; grandchildren, Johnny and Hannah; twin sister, Debbie Leazer; two brothers, Tom Kelley and Mike Kelley; other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9pm on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 11am Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church with Rev.
