Kathy Ann Copeland Ferguson

Kathy Ann Copeland Ferguson, aged 68, residing in Turnerville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2023.

Kathy, born November 23, 1954, to Othella and Brady Jerald Copeland, grew up in Turnerville, and graduated from Citronelle High School in 1973. She went on to study at the University of Mobile and received her degree in nursing in 1976. “Kaki” was a loving mother and grandmother that will be dearly missed. She enjoyed the outdoors, shopping, cooking, and baking.

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother and father. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her children, Jennifer Wilkins (Mickey) of Turnerville, Leslie Richie (Jonathan) of Turnerville, and Laura Watts (Fallon) of Landenberg, Pennsylvania; 6 grandchildren, Grayson Wilkins, Hartley Wilkins, William Richie, Ethan Richie, Emma Richie, and Annalise Watts; sister, Sherry Stewart (Tommy); bothers, David Copeland and Grady R. Copeland; a very loving aunt, Joanne Belk; dear friend, Deborah Williams (Steve); and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive family and friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Grace Williams Cemetery in Fruitdale.
