Katie Lou Adams, a woman of deep faith, passed away on August 4, 2024, at Crowne Health Care of Citronelle. She was born on January 27, 1945. Katie will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her beliefs and her love for her family.
Katie's love for church was one of her proudest accomplishments, and she found solace and joy in attending services regularly. She was a woman who lived her life guided by her strong faith and found comfort in the teachings of her church.
She had a kind and warm personality, always making those around her feel welcomed and loved. Katie enjoyed spending time reading and cherished moments with her family, especially with her great nieces and nephews. Her presence brought light and laughter to family gatherings.
Katie is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Nora Lee Adams, as well as her siblings Edna Earle Pugh, Paul Adams (Lou), John Adams, Hazel Morgan (Noah), Faye Watts, and Hilda Walker.
She is survived by her brother Gaylon Adams (Margaret) and a large extended family including numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews. Additionally, she is survived by brothers-in-law S.E Watts and Warren Elroy Pugh.
Special friends, Sandra Robinson, Lily Toomey, and Esther Pugh held a significant place in Katie's heart along with other relatives and friends who were touched by her kindness.
Services to honor Katie's life will be held at Cedar Creek Holy Church of God on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. A visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Bro. Darious Templeton and Bro. Steve Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Community Cemetery.
Katie Lou Adams will forever be remembered for her faith, kindness, and the love she shared with all those fortunate enough to have known her.
The family would like to thank everyone at Crowne Health Care of Citronelle for their kindness and support during this difficult time.
