Kenneth Lamar “Heavy Duty” Reid, 57, a native and resident of Citronelle, Alabama suddenly passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Kenny was a truck driver for AMES at Barry Steam Plant and previously a heavy equipment operator for many years. Kenny was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and fishing. Kenny loved spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amon and Jenny Cole and Wilmer and Ethel Reid. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Melissa Reid; daughter, Katelyn McGough; parents, Clyde and Nolia Reid; brothers, Mike Reid (Judy), Randy Reid (Cynthia) and Earl Reid (Cathy); other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9pm Friday, July 28, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10am Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Lambert Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Byrd officiating.
