Kenneth Wayne Powell

Kenneth Wayne Powell, 56, a resident of Eight Mile, Alabama passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at USA Medical Center. Kenny was a car salesman and was a member of Kushla-Bethany Baptist Church. Kenny was an avid Alabama fan and looked forward to football season, so he could cheer for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He enjoyed watching football, especially with his sons and brothers. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Powell; brother, Thomas Clark Powell, Jr; sister, Joyce Ann Powell and mother of his sons, Kelly Powell. Those left to cherish his memory is his father, Thomas Clark Powell, Sr. (Tommie Lee); two sons, Cory Lane White (Jenna) and Colby Ryan Powell (Kim); six grandchildren, Layla-Kelly, Emma-Grace, Parker “Bug”, Kialee, Kolton and Kyler; brother Bobby Powell (Tanya); sister, Faye Smith (David); other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11am until the 12pm funeral service on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Kushla-Bethany Baptist Church with Bro. Dale Maddy officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bennie Howard, Brian Moak, Kenny Paul, Bo Smith, Joe Billitz and Rob Powell.
