Kenneth Wayne Ridderbjelke, Sr., was born on June 29, 1951 and died in his home on Sunday, September 27, 2020. He was a resident of West Mobile and was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He loved the outdoors and was known for gardening and working in his yard. He was a pillar. He was usually the first one that you could call on for help and was also the first one to show up for special events and family gatherings. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Conrad Ridderbjelke and his mother, Lorine Wallace. He is survived by his three children, Kenneth Wayne Ridderbjelke, Jr., Melissa Ann Ridderbjelke Thomas and Philip Dwight Ridderbjelke; four grandchildren, Abigail Marie Porter and her husband, Philip Porter, Caleb Dwight Ridderbjelke, Hannah Elizabeth Thomas and Brienne Christen Thomas; sister, Linda Harris; brother, Joe Ridderbjelke; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Diquattro officiating. Burial will follow in Deer Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Carter, Jason Carter, Jarod Carter, Lee Harris, Philip Porter and Caleb Ridderbjelke.
