Lamar Taylor Rivers

Lamar Taylor Rivers, 58, a resident of McIntosh, Alabama, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at USA Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama. He was a member of Reed’s Chapel Baptist Church for 39 years. He owned and operated L & E Rivers Trucking. Racing and trucking was his life and he greatly enjoyed driving his race car #2103. Lamar is survived by his wife of 39 years, Evie Rivers; daughter, Michelle Rivers; son-in-law, Dillard Reed who was like a son; siblings, Nettie Lee Taylor, Marvin Rivers, Charles Rivers, Mart Rivers, and Barbara Jean Byrd; and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held 6pm to 9pm Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Reed’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev.
