Larry Eugene Johnston

Larry Eugene Johnston, 61, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at his residence in Fairford, Alabama. He attended Calvert Baptist Church and retired from GAF after 34 years. Larry had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and doing yard work. He had extensive knowledge of flowers and plants. He loved his nieces, nephews and was devoted to his family. Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Johnston and his parents, Andrew and Estelle Johnston. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Wilson Johnston (Ruth), Mary McIlwain, Yvonne Thornton, Greg Johnston (Bonnie), and Vicki Dew (Dwayne); beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Freeman Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2pm, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Calvert Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Lewis and Rev. Dwight Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Fairford, Alabama. Online register is available at www.freemancitronelle.com.
