Larry L. Brewer

Mr. Larry L. Brewer, 80, a native of Neely, Mississippi and resident of Eight Mile, Alabama passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at his home. He graduated from the University of South Alabama, retired as an accountant from Gauld Equipment, Inc. and was a member of College Park Baptist Church, a Gideon being a speaker and sharing with others through Bible ministry. Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his parents, John and Beanie Brewer, brother, Jesse Gay Brewer and sister, Shannon Fike. He was an avid supporter and fan of the South Alabama Jaguars. He loved playing the guitar and singing to his sweetheart and loving wife of 54 years, Roxie Byrd Brewer; beloved foster child, Jamie Seay; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Collie Byrd, John (Bonnie) Byrd; Obra Milbourn; Joe (Kim) Blankinchip; Charlie Fike; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9 pm Friday, October 24, 2014 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Simple House of Praise Church with Rev. Bill Tucker, Rev. Mike Bedford and Rev. Greg Kirkwood officiating. Burial will be in Byrd Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com.
