Lavern Louise Patrick, a woman known for her loving, giving, and compassionate nature, with the biggest heart, passed away on August 9, 2024, at her home. She was born on September 6, 1947, and her departure has left a void in hearts of all who knew her.
In her younger days, Lavern found joy in camping and bowling. Her nurturing spirit shone through as she took care of everyone around her, cherishing the time spent with her family and friends. Her dedication to her loved ones was unwavering, and her impact on those she touched will be remembered fondly.
Lavern's proudest accomplishments stemmed from her family. Her husband of 59 years, Albert “Bud” Patrick, was her steadfast companion. Together, they raised a beautiful family filled with love and laughter. Lavern is also survived by her children, Shelia Bolton (Wendall), Rhonda Smith (Clay), Steven Davis (Monica), Sean Patrick (Tammy), Dewayne Patrick (Patti), Tracie Davis, and Tony Patrick (Brenda). Her legacy also lives on through eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
In the circle of her grieving family, Lavern leaves behind her sister, Dorothy Weaver, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will always remember her warmth and kindness.
Among the departed souls welcoming her into the eternal embrace are her grandson, Chandley Patrick, her parents, Chandley and Eliza Jane Sullivan and Phil and Allie Johnston and siblings Frank Johnston, Luther Johnston, P.J. Johnston, Issac Johnston, and Ruthie Ledger.
A visitation will be held on August 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Bro. Mike Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Charity Chapel Cemetery. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
