Lawrence Edward Byrd

Lawrence Edward Byrd, a resident of Fairford, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 07, 2019. He was 50 years old. Lawrence was a devout christian and a Sunday School Teacher at Fairford Free Christian Church. He also ministered to local churches in the surrounding community. Lawrence enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his race car, helping others, and spending time with family, friends, and grandchildren. He was a member of the Fairford Volunteer Fire Department and worked at Olin Chemical for many years. He also enjoyed logging with his friends. Lawrence was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, Jake Byrd; aunt, Shelby Jean Hodge; and brother, Ralph Byrd, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Tonya Byrd; children, Ronnie Snow, II, Kelly Snow, Roy Pierce, Brittany Weaver, Stephanie Byrd, Jeffery Snow, Margaret Snow, and Julieonna Snow; nineteen grandchildren; mother, Minnie Byrd; siblings, Mary Weaver (Leslie), Jackie Byrd (Sammy), Jake Byrd (Chyrel), and Rose Byrd; and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Lawrence from 6pm until 9pm on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2pm Friday, May 10, 2019, at Rivers of Living Water Church with Rev.
