Leo  Douglas Hunsinger, Sr.

August 18, 1945 — October 23, 2013

Mr. Leo Douglas Hunsinger, Sr., 68, a native of Vestal, New York and resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at his home surrounded by family. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter and member of Celeste Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard “Jim” and Zelma Boyles Hunsinger and brothers, Donald Hunsinger and Thomas Hunsinger. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 47 years, Brenda Hunsinger; son, Leo Hunsinger, Jr.; daughter, LeeAnn Anderson; two brothers, Howard A. Hunsinger and Ronald Hunsinger; ten sisters, Rovena Clymer, Nancy Breen, Charlotte Kie, Janet Williams, Donna Shaver, Carol Card, Sally Huyck, Gail Harper, Catherine Bakeman and Elva Chapin; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. The Wake will be from 6-9 pm Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Freeman Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10 am Friday, October 25, 2013 from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Tom Dees officiating. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
