Leslie Boothe, Jr., affectionately known as "Leck," passed away peacefully at his home on October 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 10, 1932, Leck lived a life characterized by his outspoken nature, honesty, and deep care for those around him.

As a dedicated professional, he served as an electrician at Alabama Power Company for 18 years. In addition to his career, Leck proudly served in the National Guard, exemplifying his commitment to his country.

Leck was a man who embraced life fully. He found joy in hunting and fishing, earning the nickname "Bull of the Woods" for his remarkable skills in the great outdoors. He enjoyed golf, music, and dancing, activities that brought him much happiness throughout his life.

His proudest accomplishments were his beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom he cherished immensely. Leck is survived by his children, Benny Morris, Carol Ann Henderson (Tony), Ginny Sue Brown (Zack), and Becky Cox. He leaves behind a legacy of love that includes his grandchildren: Seth, Ryan, Jessica, Cassandra, Samantha, Jeremy, Nathan, Dixie, Brandon, and Matt, along with a host of great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Leck will be remembered fondly for his tender spirit and the joyous moments he shared with those he loved. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Jean Boothe; his second wife, Olivia Boothe; his daughter, Diana Knotts; his parents, Leslie and Martha Boothe; and his siblings, Myrtle Heathco, Margaret Lott, James Boothe, and Mary Wooley.

A visitation will be held on October 25, 2024, from 10:30 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Clay Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many.
