Leslie Harris

Leslie Harris, age 68, a native of Mobile, AL. and resident of Mount Vernon, AL., died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was a homemaker and member of Home Gospel Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Lloyd Wallace Chestang. She is survived by her husband Gene Evans of Mt. Vernon, AL; two sons, Adam (Doris) Chestang of Chunchula, AL. and David Chestang of Mount Vernon, AL.; three daughters, Mary (Michael Hayes) Wells of Citronelle, AL., Sandra Harvey of McIntosh, AL. and Earline (Don) Bass of Citronelle, AL.; Fourteen grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; Step-children, Nicky (Linda) Byrd of Citronelle, AL., Debra (Marvin) Lofton of Mount Vernon, AL., Wayne (Carol) Evans of Foley, AL., Darlene Evans of Mount Vernon, AL. and Anthony (Stacey) Evans of Saraland, AL.; fifteen step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. A Wake will be from 6 PM - 9 PM Friday, March 4, 2011 at Freeman Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be at Home Gospel Holiness Church 10 AM Saturday, March 5, 2011 with Rev. Paul Chestang officiating. Pallbearers will be Kevin Byrd, Poppie Chestang, Charles Morrison, Ralph Byrd, Mark Harvey and Adam Chestang. Interment will be at Byrd Cemetery in Mount Vernon, AL.
