Levi Lofton passed away on April 14, 2024, at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Born on June 28, 1947, Levi was known for his unwavering commitment to hard work and his ability to tackle various tasks as a jack of all trades.
Throughout his life, Levi found joy in simple pleasures such as fishing, gardening, and tending to his yard. His proudest accomplishments always revolved around the love he had for his family and friends. He was a dedicated individual who spent over 60 years driving log trucks and showcasing his strong work ethic. Levi will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Levi was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Lofton; mother, Delphine Snow Lofton; brothers, Tom V. Lofton and Freddie Lofton; and sister, Jacquline Burton.
He is survived by his sisters, Clara Weaver, Merina Cook, and Ollie Cole; brother, Lil Bud Cole; daughter, Loretta Lofton; granddaughters, Kimberly Sorrells (Jeff), Kayla Sorrells (Jimmy), Kelly Sorrells (Adam), and Katherine Sorrells; grandson, Jonathan Hughes (Victoria); and great-grandchildren, Olan Cook, Jadin Northern, Vanessa Granger, Blake McKinley Zoey Golloher, and Jacob Granger. Levi also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to cherish his memory.
Services to celebrate Levi's life will be held at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. A wake will take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 starting at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Reed's Chapel Cemetery.
Levi's legacy of hard work and love for his family will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have him as part of their lives. May he rest in peace.
