Lloyd Edgar Johnston, Sr.

Lloyd Edgar Johnston, Sr., a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, April 11, 2017. He was 75 years old. Lloyd was born September 22, 1941, to Sherman and Alice Johnston. Lloyd drove a truck for many years and traveled all over the United States. He enjoyed driving very much. If Lloyd wasn’t driving his truck, you could find him spending all of his free time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Lloyd was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Johnston; brother, Johnny Johnston; and sister, Gennive Snow. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Bonnie Chapman, Lloyd Johnston, Jr., John Randall Johnston, June Johnston Bue, and Gregory Johnston; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; mother, Alice Johnston; ex wife, Mary Alice Johnston; and many other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Lloyd from 6pm until 9pm Monday, April 17, 2017, at Freeman Funeral Home.The funeral will be held at 11am Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Freeman Funeral Home.
