Mrs. Lucile Simmons Booth, age 87, died Monday, September 9, 2013 at her residence in Citronelle, Alabama. Lucile graduated from Citronelle High School in 1943. She served as Assistant City Clerk for the City of Prichard for twenty five years until her retirement in 1989. She was past treasurer for the Eight Mile PTA and served as a den mother for the cub scouts. She was a member for many years at Eight Mile United Methodist Church and moved her membership in 1979 to Citronelle United Methodist Church where she was involved in numerous activities including past president of the Agape Circle. She was a member of the John B. Shearer Chapter #517 Order of the Eastern Star and Bowen Chapter Past Mother Advisor of Rainbow Girls. Her hobbies included gardening, traveling and being a poll worker. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty three years L. T. Booth, Sr., son Jerris G. Booth and grandson Jerris K. Booth. Her survivors are her daughter, Beverly Booth Hall; sons, Leonard T. Booth, Jr., Ronnie D. Booth; sister, Cherry Mae Sims; grandchildren, Warren, Tracy, Tabatha, Ryan, Devin, Josh, Ronnie, Jr., Trevor; six great grandchildren, Tyler, Paul, Bobbi, Summer, Jacob, Kinsey; four great great grandchildren, Aubrey, Benjamin, Sarah, Olivia; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 9am until the 10am funeral at Citronelle United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Lambert Cemetery with Rev.
