Lurenda Byrd

Lurenda Byrd, a resident of Mt. Vernon, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, March 01, 2022, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was 75 years old. Lurenda enjoyed vacationing and putting together puzzles. But mostly, Lurenda loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.

Lurenda was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Byrd; mother, Mary M. Byrd; sister, Sallie Davis; brothers, Lon Byrd, Will Byrd, Raymond Byrd, and Charles Byrd; and nephew, Neal Sullivan.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Liz Weaver (Alex); nephews, John Edward Sullivan, Alex James Weaver (Jody), Justin Byrd (Christin), and Mark Weaver (Tera); nieces, Hazel Johnston (Todd) and Edna Presley (Scott); a host of great nieces and great nephews; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Thursday, March 03, 2022, at Never Ending Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Sullivan officiating.
