Luther Leck Nichols

Luther Leck Nichols, 82, a native of Sims Chapel, Alabama and resident of Fairford, Alabama passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. He was served in the United States Army and was a member of Joe Southall Lodge No. 905. Leck worked as I & E Supervisor at Ciba-Geigy and retired in 1992. Leck enjoyed going to Miller’s Ferry fishing, hunting at Coffeeville and spending time with his family. Leck was a member of Sims Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Liberty Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi Hezakiah and Laura Estelle Nichols; wife of over 60 years, Lillie Maurice Jenkins Nichols. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Roy Nichols and Dale (Deborah) Nichols; daughters, Jackie Nichols and Ashley Nichols; very special “pal”, Jimmy Norred; grandchildren, Sherry Alison, Laura Leigh, Johnny, Dewayne and Destiny; great grandchildren, Peyton, Hunter, Lex, Zach, Grant, Braydon, John Lucas and Kaci; sisters, Ida Williams, Voncile Holmes, Denise Baxter and Jo Anne Lane; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 9am until the 10am funeral service on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Robinson and Rev. Gary Pickard officiating.
